NGR continues its successful course under the leadership of the new COO and is honored by the innovation Oscar “Pegasus 2021”
23. June 2021
With the new business year, Erich Fuerst has taken over responsibility for the operational areas of the plastics recycling machine manufacturer as COO from his long-time predecessor and company co-founder Gerold Barth. Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH (NGR) can look back on a successful business year and has now also been awarded the most important business prize of the province of Upper Austria.
Erich Fuerst, BSc, MSc has been responsible for the operational areas of purchasing, production, logistics and quality assurance for the past year as operations manager of the Feldkirchen site. The 30-year-old from Steyr brings with him several years of experience from the mechanical engineering sector and the automotive-related industry and has now taken over the NGR management position of COO from Gerold Barth. The company co-founder, who in the past 25 years has taken NGR from a small startup company and developed it into one of the leading companies in its sector, will now focus his efforts on the broader development of the (parent company?) Next Generation Holding.
Together with his fellow managing directors Wolfgang Steinwender, CEO, and Thomas Pichler, Joint Partner and CTO, Erich Fürst recently received the Pegasus 2021 award. This business prize is awarded to the most innovative and successful companies in Austria. Out of more than 200 nominations, NGR achieved 1st place in the Innovation category and was thus rewarded not only for the high degree of innovation, but also for the general business success, the strong growth especially during the challenging times of the protracted pandemic, and for achieving certain CO2 reduction measures.
Looking back on the successes of the past business year and now decorated with this prestigious award, NGR remains on course for additional success and growth. Under the motto “Working for a better future”, NGR customers worldwide will continue to recycle valuable plastics and benefit from energy-efficient and environmentally friendly processing technologies. Erich Fuerst sees the in-process site expansion with a significant increase in production and storage space as well as a greatly expanded customer center as another milestone in the near future.
